    New President

Well Hello everyone!  We have a New President!  I am always for change.  I cannot have things one way for very long so I am all for "The New Change".  I think in my own opinion anything has to be better than what we have now.  (I hope anyway)  I am on my way to a Girl Scout Leader Meeting but wanted to stop by and say Hello.  Miranda

    Good Morning!

Hello Everyone!  Well today is a very exciting day.  But it is also a day that could mean well for us or not.  As soon as I woke this morning the kids were already wired about today being election day.  I would like to take them with me to City Hall when I vote so they can be aware of how the ballot's work.  I do not get into politic discussions with anyone beside's my husband because everyone has their own personal views and it is a discussion that could be never endingI do my part by voting and no matter how much I argue there is nothing more I can do.

Well the kids are working on science and we will be leaving soon for music class.  Tuesday's are always short for us since music is right after lunch and it is a 30 minute drive so we just have  a 1/2 day.

I had Girl Scouts last night and the girls had a blast.  We are working on a Theater Badge and we made puppets and put on a skit and we will be going to a local college for a lesson in acting and to see a play.  My juniors also just started a penpal program with another troop from out of state and had a good time writing letters and making a friendship craft.

Well off to get ready and make some lunch.  Hope everyone has a good voting day.  Miranda

    Happy Halloween!!!!

Happy Halloween Everyone!  I wanted to stop by and say hi and see how everyone's life was going.  School is going good.  The kids are really enjoying themselves this year and love their music class they are taking.  Keegan is so excited because he will get to join band soon.

Well football/cheerleading is over for Keegan and Lindy so Lindy will now begin dance again and Keegan is getting ready for basketball.  Gracie has decieded  to do nothing but her grades are good so that is all I care about.  She is trying really hard to get back on track with us after all of her mistakes this summer.  William is still William, nothing exciting with him except that he just turned 36 and thinks he is so old now.  He is going to be one of the men who look at their life and need fast cars, exciting job, younger women.  As long as he doesn't act on them we will be ok.  LOL  Me on the other hand is trying new things.  I took up knitting.  I am not very good yet but the lessons are really helping and every week it gets better.  I am also planning a trip next summer to the Cedar Cove Days in Washington based on "The Cedar Cove Series" books by "Debbie Macomber".  I am so excited. I am also planning to open a Tea Room next fall and William and I have been really busy planning and buying for that.

Well I hope everyone checks in with me and keeps me posted on what's going on in their life.  Miranda

    Too Long!!

Well I can't believe that it has been almost 6 months since I was on Xanga last.  My computer had died and I got busy with life and I am just now able to slow down again.  I will not bore you with all of my life details since March but today was the first day back to school for my daughter Gracie and I feel like Fall in right around the corner and when I got up this morning I felt peace, like a calmness fell over me, something that I haven't felt all summer.  Between running for sports and busy summer life to having my daughter babysit in my house to all of the many friends that my children kept inviting over I was frazzled most of the summer not to mention the stunt that my daughter Gracie pulled on the family, but that will have to wait for another day.  I guess when I awoke this morning I felt like things were falling back into place and I could get back on schedule.

I have 2 weeks to finish preparing for my Girl Scout year to begin and finish making the kids lesson plans before we start school on Sept. 2nd.  Well I just wanted to stop by and say that I was back.  Hope you all have a good day.  Miranda.
